Summer Update 2024

First, thank you to all who have visited us at the Ship Centre since we re-opened at the end of March.  If you have not had an opportunity, as yet, just a reminder the Friends will be opening the Ship Centre Fridays and Saturdays until Saturday 2nd November 2024.

Medieval Fayre

Coming up very soon will be our summer Medieval Fayre on Saturday 27th July 2024. This will be the third successful fayre at the Ship Centre with displays of Medieval crafts and skills.

Production of a new video of the origins of the Newport Medieval Ship

Dextra Visual’s animated story of the ship’s final journey brought it to life for many.  We have launched a crowdfunder appeal to support the creation of a new animation to examine the origins of the Newport Medieval Ship, which will be displayed at the visitor centre.
