The nights drawing in and the weather turning chillier signals the time is fast approaching when the Friends will close the Ship Centre to the public for the winter. Your last opportunity to visit in 2024 is Saturday 2nd November. The Ship Centre will open to the public again in spring 2025.

Reminder: AGM 2024

The AGM will take place on Saturday 19th October 2024 at 2.30pm in the Ship Centre. We are delighted to welcome, as our guest speaker, Rufus Noy of the Mission to Seafarers. Based in Newport, Rufus and his team support workers on seagoing vessels in all the south Wales ports – the legacy of our maritime heritage.

Although the Ship Centre will be closed over the winter you can still follow our journey and discover more about the Newport Medieval Ship via our social media and web site. The latter is currently undergoing a refresh and will be launched in the not too distant future.
